Santa Clara County Amateur Radio Association
SCCARA

SCCARA is an active and fun non-profit Amateur Radio Service “Ham Radio” club. While we are centered around amateur radio, we are interested in all things technology — especially if it can be connected to one or more radios.

Our roots go back to 1921 when we were organized as the San Jose Radio Club and became the first radio club in what would become Silicon Valley. We began our affiliation with the American Radio Relay League in 1923. For more that 100 years, we have been creating a rich and colorful history supporting emergency and community communications, learning, teaching, and having fun.

We invite and welcome visitors to attend our meetings, on air nets, and other announced events. We are always looking for new members, please join us!  Educators are especially encouraged to join or work with us.  We see tremendous potential for coupling Ham Radio and STEM education and would love to discuss how we can help.
